Forest Lake Show & Shine: We’re not just all about cars! Our first truck will be parked up this Sunday. Kids can come and climb up and have a seat, thanks to owner James.

One of the highlights of the Forest Lake Show & Shine is the impressive array of vehicles on display. With over 100 cars and bikes expected to grace the event, attendees can expect to feast their eyes on everything from muscle cars to luxury rides. Whether you’re a die-hard Holden fan or have a soft spot for vintage Mustangs, there’s no shortage of automotive eye candy to admire.

But it’s not just about the cars; it’s also about the camaraderie and sense of community that the event fosters. Families, friends, and car enthusiasts of all ages come together to share stories, swap tips, and revel in their shared love of automobiles. It’s a chance to connect with like-minded individuals and forge lasting friendships in the process.

In addition to the impressive car lineup, the Forest Lake Show & Shine also boasts a mouthwatering selection of food trucks serving up delicious breakfast and lunch options. From hearty burgers to gourmet coffee, there’s something to satisfy every craving. And with ample parking available for over 130 vehicles, attendees can rest assured knowing that there’s plenty of space to park and enjoy the festivities.

But perhaps the most heartwarming aspect of the Forest Lake Show & Shine is its charitable component. Proceeds from the event go towards supporting Youngcare Australia, an organization dedicated to helping young adults with high physical disabilities. By simply attending and making a gold coin donation (or more), attendees can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

For event organizer Kylie Gates, the Forest Lake Show & Shine is more than just a passion project; it’s a labor of love aimed at bringing the community together for a good cause. As an event coordinator for Youngcare, Kylie understands the importance of giving back and creating opportunities for connection within the community.

“Most of the readers wouldn’t know but I’m a huge motorsports fan. My love for cars started when I met my husband over 20 years ago, he’s a huge Holden fan. We also named our first son Brock, after the late Peter Brock. Bringing a car show to the area was a given, as we don’t have anything else like this in our area”.
